Grinding it up mini challenge

Hi everyone,

I have decided to make a small grinding it up challenge to see if it’s still possible to grind a small deposit into a bankroll. I am doing this to challenge myself and to sharpen up my 6 max game which I always felt was a bit weaker then my heads up play. I will still play my regular games on the side. I will start with a 80$ bankroll and try and climb up as high as I can. I will only go up in level when I have 40 buy ins for the new level (200$ for 5 NL, etc.). My goal is to play around 10k hands a week but I won’t stress if I don’t get there as this is only a side challenge for me. Ill post at least once a week my graphs, biggest hands, etc.

I have been at it for a week now and will post how the first week went at the big 2NL, 1 cent – 2 cent blinds.Week1

So I am up around 8 buy ins for the first week and as you can see the EV is supposed to be a bit higher so I didn’t run extremely good in the big all in spots. Fell a bit short of my 10k hands goal but still decent.

Week1GraphAfter a very slow start I thought to myself this is going to be tougher than I thought but I got in a good groove in the middle of the week to finish with a very decent week.

Here is biggest hand lost of the week. Nothing I could do there.

For this hand the first guy was short so I definitely wasn’t folding to him and the guy in the small blind was playing 100% of hands so I decided to just see a flop with him, in retrospect probably just shoving preflop vs him would have been better. Once I hit top pair everything is going in.

After week 1 I’m up 16$ so my bankroll is 96$.

Let the grinding continue…
